Message from the Headteacher
I believe passionately in the value and importance of education. I am delighted to be Head of this resoundingly good school serving the whole Calne community to ensure that all students achieve more than they ever thought possible. One of our Sixth Form students recently said that 'Education is like a master key that can unlock lots of doors' and she is right. Education changes lives and gives people choice. Good education gives our young people that 'crucial sense of possibility' so necessary for success in life. We are committed to the highest possible achievement in academic and all areas of school life. Put simply, the whole school community is dedicated to getting things right for your child.
We have a first-class, broad, balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students. John Bentley students have access to an extensive range of enrichment opportunities. Our day-to-day work is characterised by high quality teaching and excellent relationships. Our last OFSTED report noted that students make good progress at The John Bentley School - their time here really does give them enhanced choices and opportunities.
There is no doubt that in all areas of school life that we are a good school. The challenge now for us all is to go from good to outstanding in the interests of your child and the whole Calne community.
