The Governors and Staff at The John Bentley School value and promote an international dimension in our school curriculum.

We recognise the need to provide opportunities for our students to be taught about and to gain awareness of, in the broadest possible sense, the wider world of which we are part and in which we live, and to examine in all areas of the curriculum the interdependency of peoples worldacross nations and continents.

International policy 2009

We firmly believe that, as a Specialist Language College (designated September 2000), we have a critical role to play in the education and development of truly 'international' citizens - young people who are aware, appreciative and respectful of the cultural diversity which permeates every level of the global community.

Through constant evaluation of the teaching and learning at The John Bentley School, we intend to raise the profile of the International Dimension in Education in order that it exists as one of the core features of daily life for all members of the school community
