The school is a wonderful place to work.We are very successful and very healthy in terms of students, staff, results, facilities and budgets.We have over 1200 students from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, making us truly comprehensive.There is a happy and committed staff team of over 150.All staff at the school work hard to ensure that all students achieve 'more than they ever thought possible'.
We are set in over 30 acres of grounds with superb facilities in all areas of teaching and learning, in addition we have an on-site nursery.Our designation as a SpecialistLanguageCollege and a Training School, our work as an ExtendedSchool, plus a very focussed School Improvement Plan all make The John Bentley School a very exciting place to be.
After a recent successful OFSTED (April 2007) we are now working with renewed vigour on continuing to achieve excellence in all areas of school life as well as continuing to drive up standards.This is done in the context of high quality individualised care for each of our students.
