The John Bentley School

An Outstanding Centre For Learning

JBS Community Forum

The transition from Primary to Secondary education is not only a big step forward for our children, parents often find themselves less connected and distant, with a lot less physical presence at school. The JBS Community Forum, formerly known as the Parent Advisory Group (PAG) at The John Bentley School aims to actively encourage parent/carer involvement within the school and build awareness of the critical link between family involvement and student success.

Our meetings are enjoyable and fulfilling, educational and informative. Each year we are looking for new parents, so come and join in and help shape the success of your child's education at JBS. We promote and organise social and educational activities for all, and plan, organise and support extra-curricular activities and events.

The committee of parents meet regularly with the school management team, gaining an invaluable insight into the curriculum and direction of the school. More importantly, the JBS Community Forum is involved in the wider decision making processes that affect our children and families, and together help to inform, influence and shape the policies and practices of the school.
