Support for Service Children
The John Bentley School warmly welcomes Service children and their families to our school and surrounding community. We are proud of our Service connections and celebrate the contribution that Service children make to the richness and diversity of our school. Whether your child's time at The John Bentley School will be long or short, we are dedicated to ensuring that your child’s experience of school life with us will be an enriching one academically, socially and emotionally.
Currently, around 15% of students at The John Bentley School are from Service families and this is set to increase with the recent re-opening of MOD Lyneham.
Our newly-appointed Service Families' Support Worker is Abigail Smith. Abigail’s role is to promote the needs of Service children in school and to ensure that there is appropriate support for students and families, particularly during periods of transition (moving into and out of The John Bentley School) and deployment.
Abigail is in school Monday to Friday, working in 'Extended Services' in the Support Department. She can be contacted by telephone on 01249 818100 ext 8134 or by email at:
